The following cookies are set:

  • NEXT_LOCALE – Stores your selected language preference (German or English). This first-party cookie does not contain personal data and serves exclusively for the functionality of the website.

  • __cf_bm – Automatically set by Cloudflare to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bots. This cookie serves exclusively for security purposes and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is a technically necessary cookie within the meaning of § 25(2) TDDDG.

All cookies used are technically necessary within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure provision of its services.

Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, your inquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We will not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries directed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g., after your request has been processed). You can create a user account on our website. For this purpose, we collect the following data:

  • Email address (as login name)
  • First name and last name
  • Password (stored exclusively in hashed form)

Optionally, you can activate two-factor authentication (MFA). In this case, an MFA secret is additionally stored on our server.

We also store the time of your last login as well as the time of email verification and acceptance of the terms of service.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as registration is required for the use of certain features of our platform (e.g., management of driving school listings). You can delete your user account at any time independently via your account settings. In this case, all personal data associated with your account will be deleted, provided no statutory retention obligations prevent this.

For the comment function on this site, in addition to your comment, information about the time the comment was created, your email address, and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen will be stored.

Storage Duration of Comments

Comments and associated data are stored and remain on this website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g., offensive comments).

Legal Basis

Comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke consent you have given at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The legality of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter Data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not share it with third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the email address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you have provided to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe or after the purpose ceases to apply. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blocklist if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blocklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in compliance with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blocklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile (hereinafter "Turnstile") on this website. The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter "Cloudflare").

Turnstile is used to verify whether data entry on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, Turnstile analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics.

This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters a website with Turnstile enabled. For the analysis, Turnstile evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, the website visitor's time on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Cloudflare.

OpenFreeMap and MapLibre

This website uses the OpenFreeMap mapping service for the display of interactive maps. The map view is rendered in your browser using the open-source library MapLibre GL JS.

When accessing a page with a map view, your browser loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap servers (operated by Hyperknot Software Kft., Hungary). In doing so, technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and time of the request are transmitted to OpenFreeMap's servers. OpenFreeMap states that it does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses in regular operation, and only collects anonymized access data. Map tiles are delivered via the Cloudflare CDN (see "Cloudflare CDN" section).

The use of OpenFreeMap is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in displaying interactive maps to show driving school locations.

More information can be found in OpenFreeMap's privacy policy: https://openfreemap.org/privacy/.

Web Analytics

For statistical analysis of website usage, we use an open-source web analytics tool that we operate on our own servers. No analytics data is shared with third parties.

The analytics tool used operates entirely without tracking cookies and does not collect personal data. Only aggregated, anonymous statistics are collected, including:

  • Page views
  • Referrer (referring page)
  • Browser and operating system
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Approximate location data (country/region, based on anonymized IP)

IP addresses are not stored and are not used to create user profiles. It is not possible to identify individual persons.

Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the anonymous analysis of website usage to improve our offering.

Session Recordings (Replays)

To improve the usability of our website, we record anonymized session replays on a sampling basis (approximately 10% of all sessions). These capture mouse movements, clicks, scroll behavior, and page navigation. Input fields (e.g., forms) are automatically masked and are not visible in the recordings.

Recordings are linked only to an anonymous session ID and cannot be traced back to individual persons. They are automatically deleted after 30 days and are not shared with third parties.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in improving the usability of our website on the basis of anonymous behavioral data.

Error Monitoring

For the detection and resolution of technical errors, we use an open-source error monitoring tool that we operate on our own servers. No error data is shared with third parties.

When a technical error occurs, the following data may be collected:

  • Error messages and stack traces
  • Browser and operating system information
  • The URL accessed at the time of the error

No personal data is intentionally collected. Automatic session tracking is disabled. Only a fraction of requests (sample) is captured at all.

Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free provision of our website.
